I started playing violin when I was four years old, and through the years I have studied with Vernon Summers (retired NSO), Linda Schroeder (NSO), Chris Memoli, and Dr. William Terwilliger.  I am an alumnus of the Virginia’s Summer Residential Governor School and of the Youth Orchestras of Prince William.

In 2003, I graduated from the University of South Carolina where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Music and Intensive English, with a Performance Certificate in violin.  I love school, and graduated magna cum laude.  I was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa, an academic honor society, and Pi Kappa Lambda, a music honor society.

Since 2004, I have worked and volunteered for the Youth Orchestras of Prince William in many capacities.   I have been a Preparatory Coach, Primo Coach, Chamber Music Coordinator and Operations Coordinator, and now I serve on the YOPW Board of Directors.

I have been a private violin teacher for over nineteen years.  I currently maintain a violin studio at home, but I have also taught at the Allegro Community Music School.  I perform with the Signature String Quartet and as a freelance violinist in the Northern Virginia/D.C. area.

I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, baking, and eating Korean food!

I love music and enjoy working with young people.
